Rodeka offers a wide range of natural rattan wickerwork in various patterns and textures for use on furniture, furniture panels, kitchens, sliding doors, room dividers, lamps, accessories, etc. Only the finest rattan from Indonesia is used for this purpose. Unlike bamboo, rattan has a solid stem. Two types of wickerwork are made from this stem: * Wickerwork made from the rattan husk, "the shins" * Wickerwork made from the inside of the rattan, "the core" This "core" is evenly colored and porous, making it easy to glue, paint, and varnish. Wickerwork made from the rattan core is not strong enough to be used as a seat.
